Accommodation
Do you offer year-round accommodation?
Sadly not. Students have to vacate their room over Christmas, Easter and summer.
Is there student accommodation available for each year of study?
Yes, University Centre Reaseheath students can apply each year they study for on-site accommodation.
Can we choose which accommodation we would like to live in?
You can let us know which accommodation blocks you would prefer to live in and we do our best to get all students in their preferred accommodation.
What support can I get if I do not get a place in accommodation? When is it confirmed?
It would be unlikely you would not get accommodation if you were not on one of our transport routes. If you were on a transport route and you didn’t get accommodation, then you would be able to use our transport service for a small charge.
What types of accommodation do you offer?
Our accommodation ranges from townhouses to more traditional halls of residence, all on-site. Whether you opt for shared bathroom facilities or your own en-suite, you will have your own room with a work-station, WiFi and 24-hour support from our safeguarding team. Transport
Would you recommend we have a car for transport? And if so, do we have access to parking spaces?
You are welcome to use your own car to travel to University Centre Reaseheath and use the parking spaces we have available on site. Your other option would be to use our reliable bus service which collects students from across Cheshire and surrounding areas for a small charge. For more information please visit our transport page.

Campus and local area
What types of food are offered on-site?
The catering team at Reaseheath offers a wide range of food options across the site for our students, staff and visitors. We offer breakfast, lunch and evening meals along with snacks throughout the day.
The catering team can accommodate a variety of diets and food allergies so if you have specific needs please speak to a member of the team and they will be pleased to assist.

What facilities do you have for learning?
In recent years, over £80 million has been invested into on-campus facilities including an equestrian centre, an industry leading food centre, new sports facilities, agric-technology centre and a scientific horticultural facility, unique to the UK. Where is Reaseheath located?
Reaseheath is located in the rural market town of Nantwich, which has a keen sense of community spirit and offers everything you need to make your university experience unforgettable. The bright lights of Chester, Manchester and Liverpool are also in easy reach, meaning our campus offers you the best of both worlds. You can find out more at our Discover Nantwich page.
What supermarkets, restaurants or bars are there in Nantwich?
There is a Sainsburys, Morrisons and Aldi all close by. Please visit the Nantwich Town Council website to to find out about restaurants, bars, cinemas and other days out.
Support
What sort of mental health support do you have for students?
Student support is really important to us at University Centre Reaseheath. We have a wellbeing service for all students to access support for a wide range of issues. Wellbeing Advisors offer a confidential service and are available 9am-5pm Monday – Friday. You will have an assigned Wellbeing Advisor to your curriculum area that is accessible and able to listen to you.

Student life
What societies do you have?
We have a large number of busy student-led clubs and societies on campus, from crafts to conservation, photography to acapella, and even a Harry Potter society, but we are always looking for more! Come and find the Student Life team when you start your course if you want to start a new group. Please click here to find out more.
What sports do you offer?
We offer recreational sports throughout the year, which range from climbing and badminton to yoga and Clubbercise. We have a state-of-the-art gym with Technogym equipment, Olympic lifting platform and a weights area for you to use for a small charge. Please click here to find out more.
What social events do you offer?
There is a lively nightlife to enjoy in our on-site bar with a range of themed nights being held such as foam, UV, music themes and other nights with live entertainment or a simple pub quiz or bingo! Courses, careers and UCAS
Do you consider experience as well as qualifications, as part of your entry level requirements?
Mature students (aged 21+) will be considered on an individual basis on their prior knowledge and experience. This may be assessed by interview, completion of coursework/essay or other methods. There may be a requirement for a formal qualification to be completed first e.g. our Access to Higher Education course
How many UCAS points do I need?
Our degrees vary in the UCAS points required due to offering foundation degrees as well as full BSc Honours degrees. Please look up your degree of interest here to find out more.
Is it possible depending on my UCAS points that I can start without a foundation year?
The best option to talk about a specific offer is to email us on UCR@reaseheath.ac.uk and we can look at your specific case.
What careers follow your degrees?
All our degrees are designed to help you become ‘Industry Focused, Career Ready,’ meaning there are some amazing careers waiting for you at the end of your studies. Each degree offers different career opportunities which can be found on the course pages of our website.
How many hours of teaching do I get?
You’ll have plenty of contact with tutors and enjoy a mix of teaching methods, from large group lectures to small seminars and one to one sessions, to field visits and practical work. Please look at your degree of interest to find out more.
Does my course have a study tour?
A lot of our degrees do offer the opportunity to go on a study tour. This could be within the UK or abroad with our students travelling to Africa, Peru, Berlin and many more exciting locations. Please look at your degree of interest to find out more.
What equipment do I need to purchase for my course?
You can find out what clothing and equipment is required for each course on our Exlusive Offer Holder Hub. This should ideally be purchased before the start of term. Branded UCR equipment can be purchased via our online shop here.
Other
On the student loans website, it states part time students can apply from summer 2021, do you know the date I can apply from?
They usually publish the exact date on social media. The easiest way is to follow them on Twitter or Facebook where they make the announcement.
I have emailed a department with a query, but I have not had a reply yet. What should I do?
We are very sorry for the delay in our response. All of our departments have an extremely large workload at the moment, but they will respond as soon as possible.
