Access to Higher National Diploma
After some years working in the hospitality industry Adam decided to make a complete career change and follow his interest in the outdoor environment.
Faced with a return to academic learning, he chose to spend a year on our Access to HE course which prepared him for study and gave him the chance to consider his next move.
Initially drawn to countryside management, his course inspired him to join the horticulture industry and he gained a BSc in Landscape Management with us alongside a job in landscape maintenance.
He enjoyed the content and variety of his degree so much that that he is now studying for a Masters in Landscape Architecture at Manchester Metropolitan University. Moving forward Adam hopes to be involved in improving our urban realm environment, using his knowledge of horticultural design and sustainable development to green up and improve our cityscapes.
My Access to HE course gave me the opportunity to focus on my different options. I now have the opportunity to improve the urban environment through my knowledge of horticultural design and sustainable development. I owe a big debt of gratitude to University Centre Reaseheath. My time there helped me to decide where I wanted to go.
BSc (Hons) Landscape Management (First class) 2018, Access to Higher Education Diploma 2015
Next step: Masters in Landscape Architecture
