David grew up on a family farm in Shropshire, where his family milked 170 Friesian and Holstein cows, and farmed 200 acres of arable crops. The farm was later split up and David specialized in arable and contracting. David studied a BSc (Hons) in Outdoor Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University and then a PGCE in Secondary Geography. After some time teaching in secondary education, David joined Reaseheath in 2017 as a Course Manager and Lecturer delivering agriculture in both the Academy of Land and Environment and University Centre Reaseheath.
Alongside work, David studies part-time for an MA in Educational Leadership with University of Chester and enjoys playing rugby for Shrewsbury third XV.
