Our residential accommodation will still be available and safe for students who wish to live on our beautiful campus in 2020/21, despite the current COIVD-19 pandemic. In the interest of safety, until we think it is safe to do so, students will not be able to access other students’ bedrooms, and we will ask all students to regularly use the handwashing facilities available in communal areas. We take the safety of our students very seriously, as demonstrated in our recent ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted Care Standards inspection, so during this time we want to take all the extra precautions we can. Because of this, regular cleaning will also be provided by our domestic team and face coverings will be worn by safeguarding and domestic staff when on duty in the halls of residence. Students will be able to talk to the accommodation team at any time with any questions or concerns.

All students in catered accommodation will have the choice of a 5 or 7 day meal package.
A 5 day meal package is from Sunday dinner through to Friday lunch. As part of our safeguarding provision we endeavour to ensure that our students are eating healthily and regularly. We therefore encourage our students to eat a set 3 meals a day, all of which will be healthy and balanced.
Student ID cards will be set up with meal vouchers to purchase three balanced meals. This will mean 3 separate meal vouchers will be set up in order for you to purchase breakfast (up to the value of £2.50), lunch (up to the value of £3.50) and evening meal (up to the value of £3.50). This equates to meals to the total value of £9.60, for which you will pay £8 per day only. The use of these meal vouchers therefore is better value for money than purchasing food with cash or card in our outlets.
The 7 day meal package includes three meals per day Monday – Friday with the opportunity for two meals each day during the weekend. Each day comprising of three specific meals i.e. breakfast (to the value of £2.40), lunch (to the value of £3.60) and evening meal (to the value of £3.60). This is with exception of Saturday and Sunday which comprise of brunch and evening meal.
The meal vouchers supplied can only be used for the relevant meal and unfortunately cannot be saved to use another time.
If you wish to purchase items such as soft drinks, crisps and chocolate you would need to cover the cost yourself.
As a guide costs are:
Reaseheath uses the Way2Pay system where students and parents/guardians can load money onto student cards which can be used instead of cash or debit cards. The advantage of this system is that parents/guardians can see what purchases have been made at which outlets via the Way2Pay app.
Students who sign up to the five or seven day meal packages will have money on their student cards. Additional top-ups can be added for bottled drinks and snacks.
Students in receipt of free college meals have their allocation added to their cards.
