We offer fantastic student support with sector leading student services, wellbeing, finance and learning support arrangements. These will all remain accessible to you during the current COVID-19 pandemic, with some support services available safely on campus, whilst others will use technology to support you online.
It’s good to know that our Student Services and Health and Wellbeing Teams are here to help with any concerns you may have. They can offer advice about all areas of university life, including:
Conveniently located next to our Higher Education Centre, our library has a variety of study areas including pods and a HE only mezzanine with silent and group study areas.
The library is open during term time and most holidays, and HE students can access the space on weekends during term time.
We have books and online journals to support your studies as well as PCs, laptops, printer, copier and scanner and self-service machines for borrowing and returning your books.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you find what you need and can offer information skills support to help you in your research – just ask!
Our librarians offer training in information skills and provide support for your research
As a student at University Centre Reaseheath, you will have access to our online Graduate Toolkit, which provides you with a range of information and tips on how to get the best out of your studies. It will even help you with other aspects of student life too. It has been created to give you a 24 hour tutor, so you will always be supported, day and night, throughout your time with us.
When you join University Centre Reaseheath, you will receive login details, which will give you access to tips with academic writing and referencing, advice on how to live independently and how to stay safe, as well as employability skills including CV writing, finding work experience and much, much more.
Our friendly careers team is here to provide you with information, advice and guidance to give you a head start in the graduate job market.
Our careers advisors are on hand to support you with anything from writing your CV, cover letter or job application, to advising on any complex career problems you might have.
We are dedicated to teaching you the best job hunting strategies, preparing you for interviews and giving you 1:1 support with your career choices. You will also be supported with finding work experience or voluntary work while you study, or with applications for post-graduate study.
We continue to support our students for a whole year after graduation, to make sure we help find the right career path for you.
We can advise on the Disabled Student’s Allowance (DSA) and can offer advice on reasonable adjustments to address any potential barriers to learning. It is a good idea for you to contact us well before you arrive at University Centre Reaseheath. We are happy to arrange any visits to the campus where we can discuss your support needs. If you have not already done this, it would be good if you contacted us as soon as you arrive at University.
