Wellbeing, Careers and Work Placement Manager
Graduated with a 2:1 in Theology in 2008. Worked as a Careers Adviser in state education since 2011 and an interim Careers Manager for a successful Sixth Form College in Manchester. Started at Reaseheath in November 2017.
Presented at a number of high profile conferences, including:
- Annual UCAS teachers’ and advisers’ conference alongside the University of Manchester on preparing students for university interviews.
- Landex Annual Conference on implementing work placements.
- Work Based learning for Level 5 students
Keeping active: football and running mainly, but Kenny also enjoys walks in the peak district.
Helen is a Careers Development Institute registered professional. Helen has a Personal Adviser Diploma from Nottingham Trent University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance from Manchester Metropolitan University and BA (Hons) English from Bangor University. Helen worked as a Careers Adviser from 1997-2017 at Careers Wales and Shropshire Careers Service, where she worked with young people in mainstream and special schools/colleges and those not in education, employment or training. Helen has experience as SEN Transition officer, where she reviewed and monitored EHCPs and SEN cases. Helen has also worked as a Freelance Careers Adviser in mainstream and special schools.
Helen is a member of choir, book club and the gym. Helen regularly participates in park run events and achieved her 100th park run on Christmas Day 2021.
