Flowers are fabulous. They’re guaranteed to make people smile, and that’s why floristry is such a fantastic career.
It all started at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, where I was acting as a host. I was blown away by all the floral displays but the one I adored most was a competition entry by Reaseheath students.
I tried a taster session, found I could transfer my creative skills to floristy and began working my way up through the levels. I’ve since been on medal winning teams at RHS Tatton Park and RHS Chelsea, competed at WorldSkills UK and won individual awards at prestigious floristry competitions.
I’m still learning new techniques so my journey’s far from over!
