Abi Bore
BSc (Hons) Business and Events Management
BSc (Hons) Business and Events Management
An Assistant Manager at popular wedding venue Rowton Castle in Shropshire, Abi had already achieved her first promotion before completing her degree.
Thanks to the flexibility of our study programme and the encouragement we give our undergraduates to gain relevant industry experience, Abi was able to work at Rowton Castle part-time while studying.
Her dedication and hard work paid off and she was offered a full time post just before she graduated.
Abi is now responsible for looking after the bride and groom during their wedding day and oversees the wedding breakfasts, speeches and other formalities as well as supporting the other managers.
She has always wanted to work in events management and previously completed our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business and Event Management.
My degree gave me a wider appreciation of how businesses work from both the theory and practical aspects. For instance, I researched staff training for my dissertation and I aim to apply this knowledge by implementing a training programme at my workplace.
